
A full festive celebration that is free to attend
The most wonderful time of the year is almost here, and everyone is invited to join in the magic. Final checks are being made in readiness for Hull’s annual Santa Arrival Parade.
The event will take place on Sunday, November 23. The parade will depart from Hull New Theatre at 11.15am and is due to arrive at the Princes Quay shopping centre at about 11.30am.
It is the day to bring your best festive spirit and family cheer along as Santa Claus is received into the city for the Christmas season. This jolly event promises to be a feast for the senses—a parade filled with sparkling lights, fanciful floats, and a splash of holiday magic.
Families, friends, and festive enthusiasts are all welcome to line the streets of Hull, where joy is guaranteed and faces will be wreathed in smiles. Enjoy Santa’s glorious arrival atop a fabulous, shimmering float that is sure to shine bright – and may even include magical snow fall, thanks to the super talented team at Resolve Asset Management.

Keep an eye out for his merry elves and enjoy the dazzling performances from All for One Choir and Anlaby Acre Heads Primary schoolchildren. There will be Princess Parties Hull; Innovation Entertainment; Hull Jets; KIDS Charity and Wolfpack Theatre in attendance, along with lots of other friends of the city spreading cheer along the route, performing holiday favourites that will have the crowds singing along.
This wonderful event is not just about Santa; it is a true celebration of the Hull community. Local businesses and organisations will join the fun, showcasing their talents and spreading the festive spirit, supported by Saltmer Mechanical Services Ltd, Great Yorkshire Radio, Hull City Council and HullBID.
The Santa Arrival Parade is a free event, making it accessible for everyone to join in the festive fun. So grab your hats, mittens, and holiday cheer, and make your way to the city centre for an unforgettable event. The parade will wend its way through the streets of Hull to Princes Quay, before Santa declares his grotto – managed by the magical Great Grotto’s team – officially open and switches on the lights at the shopping centre.
