
A man is due to appear in court following the incident
A man is due to appear in court after a cat was ‘attacked by dogs’. Humberside Police received reports of the incident in Driffield on Wednesday (November 5).
It is alleged that a man “held a cat over a fence for two dogs to attack which is believed to have resulted in serious injuries”. It is understood the cat suffered severe trauma to its leg.
A man has since been charged with criminal damage under £5,000 and failing to prevent the causing of unnecessary suffering to an animal. Paul Thorpe, 62, of Ashthorpe, Hull, has been released on conditional bail and is due to appear at Hull Magistrates’ Court on November 27.
