The new restaurant in Flemingate Shopping Centre will seat 120 guests

A new restaurant is set to open in Beverley, it has been announced. Ambiente Tapas, the award-winning tapas and sherry bar group, is set to come to Flemingate Shopping Centre in December of this year.

The site will be the group’s sixth restaurant, and aims to bring its signature Spanish hospitality to the new location. Owners said that the opening continues Ambiente’s established approach to dining: ingredient-led, quality-driven and customer-focused.

Seating around 120 guests on a single fully accessible level, the space will also include a large outdoor terrace for al fresco dining. Reservations will open soon.

Guests can expect the group’s renowned Spanish-inspired menu and drinks list. This will be alongside dishes cooked over a Spanish charcoal oven — a grill capable of reaching temperatures up to 500°C to deliver rich, smoky flavours that can’t be easily replicated at home.

Tim Sinclair, founder of Ambiente Tapas, spoke about the new opening. He said: “We’ve spent the last few years consolidating and refining our operation, in a challenging market.

“Now, we’re eager to bring Ambiente’s signature style of hospitality to Beverley. We’re convinced that our combination of thoughtfully curated tapas dishes with quality Spanish wines, delivered by a knowledgeable and friendly team will make Ambiente a welcome addition to the local dining scene.”

The Beverley opening follows Ambiente’s success in York, Leeds, and Hull. Last year, our reporter Sofie Jackson paid a visit to the Hull restaurant and ‘had one of the best dining experiences of her life.

She said that “Ambiente Tapas is definitely a strong contender for Hull’s best restaurant and I recommend it to any foodie”. You can read her full review here.
