‘I firmly believe people turn to us because they know we fight for the underdog’

Hudgell Solicitors are celebrating after securing a unique double award win. Most recently, they have been named medium-sized Law Firm of the Year at the Yorkshire Legal Awards.

It comes after they received the same accolade at Manchester Legal Awards this summer. The firm, which has offices in Hull, Manchester, Newcastle and London, was established in 1997 by Neil Hudgell and represents clients in personal injury, medical negligence, criminal injuries, civil liberties, abuse and travel litigation claims.

In their most recent win, judges at the Yorkshire Legal Awards said the recent successes reflect a “strategic and client-focused approach, with standout cases showcasing the expertise, dedication, and professionalism of the team”. Judges also said that the firm “demonstrated strong engagement with clients and a meaningful commitment to positively impacting the wider community”.

Founder, Neil Hudgell, said: “We are extremely proud and humbled to have been announced winners at the Yorkshire Legal Awards. To have been awarded this honour, in addition to our success at the Manchester Legal Awards, is testament to everyone in the team’s hard work, skill and determination to never give up.

“Our core message when we started back in 1997 was to always put the client first – no matter what. That’s just as important then as it is now and we will continue to relentlessly fight the corner of those that have unfairly experienced injustice.

He spoke about why he believes the firm has seen success. He said: “I firmly believe people turn to us because they know we fight for the underdog, step up to the challenge in difficult cases, and give them a voice and hope for a better future.”
