Premier Modular is providing a diagnostic centre that will house a range of health services

An East Yorkshire-based manufacturer of modular buildings is helping to deliver essential health services at a Cheshire hospital. Premier Modular, of Brandesburton, near Driffield, is delivering a Community Diagnostic Centre at Congleton War Memorial Hospital.

Working with East Cheshire NHS Trust, the state-of-the-art building will house a range of diagnostic services, boosting health services for the local community. The new centre will cut down the distance patients need to travel, reduce waiting times and improve early detection of various health conditions.

It will house vital imaging services, including X-ray and non-obstetric ultrasounds, and cardio-respiratory physiological tests, such as ECGs and echocardiograms. Designed to be “patient-first”, it will allow patients to have appointments with as many tests and services as they need in one visit.

Comprising 13 modular units, the building will feature a bespoke vaulted roof in the waiting room area to create an open, airy space that is comfortable for patients and their families. The leading offsite manufacturer is delivering a full turnkey service for this project, handling the entire process, from design to delivery, which is expected to be completed this month.

David Harris, CEO of Premier Modular, said: “With increasing demand on NHS services, building and expanding hospital facilities has become increasingly crucial. The collaborative nature of this project with East Cheshire NHS Trust is ultimately going to result in not just a new facility, but improved healthcare services for the local community.
