Aldi ‘special buys’ offer a range of products at discount prices and store fans have some top picks
We’re well into the new academic year and you can bet your bottom dollar that school uniforms are already crying out for replacement. Whether it’s a sudden growth spurt that renders those once-perfect shirts gaping open and leaves trousers hovering well above the ankles, or simply the everyday dirt and grime that youngsters seem to attract, most parents find themselves hunting for fresh outfits.
However, retailers often slash their stocks once the summer scramble subsides, making it increasingly challenging to locate those essential garments. Aldi has now revealed it’s reintroducing its school uniform range in preparation for the upcoming term beginning next month.
This marks the second consecutive year the discount chain has replenished stock in January, citing last year’s “huge success” as the driving force behind the decision. The items will arrive in stores across the country on January 4.
In making the announcement, the retailer said: “Designed to help families refresh their children’s school wardrobes for the new year, the essential bundle costs just £3.50. Those looking to top up school wardrobes will need to hurry though because as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone!”.
“Whether kids have had a Christmas growth spurt or parents are just looking to stock up, Aldi is offering families unbeatable value and quality by continuing to keep uniform prices frozen. Available in a choice of colours and sizes from 4-12 years, shoppers can pick up two polo shirts and a pair of trousers, all for just £3.50 as part of the returning bundle offer.”, reports the Mirror.
The deals include a two-pack of polo shirts for £1.75 and a pair of trousers for £1.75, bringing the total to £3.50 for all three pieces. Footwear options are also available.
Aldi’s Leather School Shoes retail at £6.99 and are stocked in sizes 10-4. The retailer explains: “Crafted using real leather and featuring an in-sole antibacterial finish, little ones will look the part from head to toe.” These can be matched with ankle or knee-high socks priced at £2.49 for a five-pack.
Shoppers have also been given reassurance over their purchase quality as the store is offering a 12-month satisfaction guarantee. The supermarket states: “This means parents can shop with complete confidence, knowing they’re investing in durable items built to last.
“Made with recycled polyester, the supermarket’s uniform is designed to withstand everything from playground tumbles to classroom play.”
