Amazing photos show how Hull’s former Debenhams store looks inside ahead of its major development project. Hull City Council last week approved plans for the mammoth site to become 178 apartments.

Despite the store having closed in 2021, the inside will still look very familiar to local shoppers. Much of the signage and display units remain in place almost half a decade later.

In addition to the apartments, the site is to retain some of its retail space. The project includes a number of ground floor retail units along Ferensway and Brock Street.

The project is set to get underway early next year. Completion is anticipated towards the end of 2027.
