
A man was seriously injured in an incident last week
A man has appeared in court after a serious assault in east Hull last week. A 43-year-old man was seriously injured in an incident on Shannon Road on Thursday, December 4.
Three men were initially arrested after police received reports of an assault at an address on the road at around 10.55am. A scene guard was put in place while officers carried out enquiries in the area.
At the time, Humberside Police also said people could “expect to see an increased number of officers” in the area. The force has since issued a further update confirming a man has been charged in connection with the incident.
A 44-year-old man was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, two counts of assault by occasioning actual bodily harm and assault of a police constable. Kevin Lowsley, of Park Avenue, Hull, appeared at Hull Magistrates’ Court on Saturday, December 6, where he was remanded into custody pending a further appearance at court.
Two other men who were arrested have since been released without charge.
