What you need to know about actor Robert Aramayo
- Robert Aramayo was born and raised in Hull. He attended Cavendish Primary School. It was here he got his first acting opportunity in a production of Bugsy Malone at the age of seven.
- He later attended Hull Truck’s Youth Theatre where he starred in many roles, guided by then-Youth Theatre Director, Lee Green.
- At the age of 18, Robert left Hull for New York City to study at the prestigious Juilliard School, winning a place against the 4,000 others who vied for acceptance. There, he performed the lead role of Alex in Julliard’s production of A Clockwork Orange.
- Post Julliard, Robert secured various film roles. He played a young Ned Stark in HBO’s hit Game of Thrones and a young Elrond in Amazon Prime’s Lord of the Rings series, The Rings of Power.
- Robert’s older sister, Laura Aramayo, is also an actor, and the siblings both starred in Netflix’s miniseries Behind Her Eyes. Laura has also acted in Emmerdale and Coronation Street.
- He won the 2025 BIFA for Best Lead Performance as Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson MBE in I Swear. In his acceptance speech, he thanked his family and dedicated the award to John.
