Part of the A63 is closed this morning (Sunday) due to a police incident. The major route is closed westbound between Melton and Brough.
A Humberside Police spokesperson said: “Can motorists please be aware that there is currently a road closure in place on the A63 westbound between Melton and Brough. Please avoid the area where possible whilst we deal with an ongoing incident – thank you for your understanding.”
It comes the day after another incident on the eastbound carriageway near Hessle. That incident involved one vehicle and one person was taken to hospital.
And from tomorrow, “emergency” repair works are to take place on the roundabout beneath the A63 near St Andrew’s Quay. The junction, which also connects to Brighton Street, is in “urgent” need of resurfacing, Hull City Council has said.
