
A man was also taken to hospital for ‘treatment to serious injuries’
An 18-year-old woman is in ‘critical condition’ at hospital following reports of a three vehicle crash, Humberside Police has said. The collision took place on A1079 between Wilberfoss and Barmby Moor yesterday evening (Friday, 31 October).
According to police, it was reported at around 6.55pm that a grey Renault Master, black Mini Cooper, and blue Ford Focus had been in a collision. Emergency services attended the scene at the time and a road closure was put in place, with drivers advised to ‘avoid the area where possible.’
The force said in a statement this morning (November 1), that the driver of the Mini Cooper, an 18-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for ‘treatment to life-threatening injuries and she remains in a critical condition at this time.’ The driver of the Renault, a 27-year-old man, was also taken to hospital for ‘treatment to serious injuries.’
A spokesperson for Humberside Police said: “We would appeal to anyone who was in the area around the time of the collision, or anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage that may assist with our enquiries, to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting log 485 of 31 October.”
