The latest on all injuries heading into the Super League semi-finals.

Just four clubs remain in the battle for Old Trafford, with Wigan Warriors and Leigh Leopards to kick-off the semi-finals on Friday before Challenge Cup and League Leaders’ Shield winners Hull KR host St Helens on Saturday.

Here’s a look at each club’s injuries heading into the action.

Leigh Leopards

Leigh suffered no fresh injuries following their dominant 26-10 play-off win over Wakefield Trinity, while Ethan O’Neill was named 18th man. The back-rower had been sidelined through injury, but has not featured in recent weeks following his return to fitness. Australian full-back David Armstrong remains out with a serious knee injury.

St Helens

Kyle Feldt was unable to overcome the back spasms he suffered in the final round against Castleford Tigers, and was forced to miss the knockout match against Leeds Rhinos, with Jon Bennison his replacement.

Centre Mark Percival was also heavily strapped at Headingley Stadium, with head coach Paul Wellens admitting after Saturday’s win: “He’s a bit sore and beat up, and we’ll obviously have to get the injury assessed, but it didn’t stop him being effective, so hopefully that’s a positive sign.

“But as we know in these situations, things can deteriorate in the 24/48 hours after.”

Wigan Warriors

Matt Peet’s side secured a week off following their second-place finish, with no fresh injuries to report on as things stand.

England prop Luke Thompson made his long-awaited return from injury in Round 25 against former club St Helens, while Tom Forber suffered a season-ending wrist injury while playing for the reserves.

Hull KR

Veteran hooker Michael McIlorum is in a race against time to finish his career on his terms, having suffered a fractured foot last month during training.

“We’ll give him until next week and see where he is at,” Peters told All Out Rugby League last week.

“It’s one of those where I will openly say if Micky is OK, he will start the game, do what he does for 20 minutes, get our line speed going and kick pressures, mainly around our defence, and Jez will come on off the back of that.

“If he doesn’t play, I’m more than comfortable with Jez playing 80 minutes.”

Joe Burgess is expected to be fully fit and available for the Robins’ tie with St Helens, having missed the last three rounds of the regular season through injury.
