Hull FC celebrated their Player of the Year awards on Monday night.
Zak Hardaker has been crowned Hull FC’s triple Player of the Year for the 2025 season. The 33-year-old has enjoyed a superb first year in the Black and White, with his efforts now rewarded in picking up three different awards.
Hardaker has lined up in all of the full-back, wing, centre, half-back, and back row positions at some stage this year, and his form has never wavered no matter what role he has been asked to play. He was one of several new signings confirmed by the club ahead of 2025 and soon became an instant hit with his teammates, staff, and supporters alike.
In total, Hardaker played 25 games for Hull this year, scoring four tries and landing 25 conversions. He still has a year to run on his current contract and, as he exclusively told Hull Live earlier this season, a further year’s option shared by both the player and the club.
Hardaker picked up the Hull FC Player of the Year award, as voted by the coaching staff. He also won the Players’ Player of the Year and the Supporters’ Player of the Year, where he received 75% of the vote.
Elsewhere, the Hull FC Young Player of the Year award went to Lewis Martin. The 21-year-old is Super League’s top try scorer this year with 25 tries – with his grand total after his Challenge Cup exploits standing at 32. He played in all 31 of Hull’s games, playing every minute – including the ten extra golden point minutes against Leigh Leopards back in March.
Also on the youth front, Lloyd Kemp has been rewarded for a strong year, winning the Academy Player of the Year. Kemp, the twin brother of Callum Kemp, debuted for Hull against York Acorn in the Challenge Cup back in February.
He then made two further appearances in the Super League, coming off the bench against Leigh in August before starting against Hull KR. He also featured heavily for the academy and reserve sides, playing at both full-back and centre and having 25 try involvements in 20 games across both levels. He turned out for Yorkshire against Lancashire alongside his brother.
Hull FC’s Community Player of the Year is Davy Litten. The rising centre has completed over 24 hours of community work in 2025, the most in the squad, including delivering Christmas presents to supporters across the city and at Hull Royal Infirmary and delivering youth engagement programmes.
The women’s player of the year is Lily Bunby. The youngster was selected in the England Community Lions U21s side earlier this season and has played her part in the Black and Whites’ return to the Women’s Championship this season.
Josh Edwards is the Wheelchair Player of the Year. He has enjoyed a rapid rise since coming into the team, also involved in England selection in recent times.
Continuing the club’s disability awards, Aaron Fairhead won the Learning Disability Player of the Year award, which was named in tribute to LDRL player, club volunteer, and lifetime supporter Daniel Geddes, who sadly passed away last week. A full tribute to Daniel was played at the awards night.
The club’s Physical Disability Player of the Year was Corey Davies, while Haley Richardson (Executive Manager) won the Clubman award. Katie Harrington (video analyst) won the club’s Volunteer award.
