(Dickie) Unexpectedly but peacefully, ‘Dickie’, aged 95 years, of North Killingholme, formerly of Hull. Beloved husband of the late Shelagh, cherished dad of Kim and the late Karen and Richard. A special grandad of Daniel, Rebecka, Karl, Emma and Sarah, a devoted great-grandad and great-great grandad. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. A service will be held on Friday 22nd August, at Grimsby Crematorium, 3pm. Family flowers only please, by request. Donations in lieu of flowers if so desired are for Alzheimer’s Society and may be left at the service or sent direct to the charity. Passed away at home on the 12th of July 2025, aged 62 years. Loving husband of Fiona, much loved son of Betty, loving brother to Tara, stepdad to Liddelle-Diana and Frankie-James, brother-in-law to Justin, uncle to Steven, Lucy, Rhys and Francesca, great-uncle to Kobe, and a good friend to many. (Winnie) Passed away peacefully at home on the 21st July 2025 at the grand age of 96 years. Reunited with loving Husband Jim. Much loved Mam, Grandma, Great Grandma, Sister, Auntie and friend. Sadly missed by all her loving family and friends. Requiem mass to take place on Thursday 28th August 9.30am at St Mary Queen of Martyrs Church prior to interment at Eastern Cemetery. Peacefully passed away on Tuesday 29th July 2025, aged 76 years. Loving Wife to John, Mum to Vicky and Richard, devoted Grandma to her four Grandchildren The funeral service is to be held on Thursday 28th August 2025 at The Cottingham Methodist Church at 12:15pm followed by a cremation at Haltemprice Crematorium Family flowers only please, however donations in Ann’s memory will be greatly appreciated in aid of CICU Relatives Room at Castle Hill Hospital. (John) Peacefully passed away on 30th July 2025, aged 82 years. Beloved Husband of Amy, much loved Dad and Grandad. The funeral service shall be held on Friday 29th August 2025 at Chanterlands Crematorium (Large Chapel) at 1.30pm and by family request, please wear light colours, no black. Family flowers only please, however, donations in John’s memory will be greatly appreciated in aid of the RNLI.
Passed away suddenly at Priory Care Home on 21st July 2025 aged 88 years. Now reunited with her husband Gordon. Funeral to be held on Friday 29th August at 12:30pm at the Haltemprice Crematorium, Willerby. Donations kindly received for Dove House Hospice. Loved and will be forever missed. Heartbroken daughter Carol and son-in-law Steve.
Passed away peacefully 27th July 2025, aged 70 years. Loving husband to Helen. Beloved dad to Sarah and Vicki. Will be a much missed Grandad to all his Grandchildren. A funeral service for Alan will take place Friday 15th August at the Chanterlands Crematorium (Large Chapel) 2.30pm. Family flowers only please, Donations may be made at the service for Teenage Cancer Trust.
(Rafferty) Passed away peacefully at Dove House Hospice on 3rd August 2025, aged 80, with all her family by her side, after a brave battle with cancer. Diane was the dearly loved wife of Stephen, proud mum to Steve and Paul, and adored nan to Terry, Kim, Sam and Abi. She was also a loving great-nana to Jaxon. She worked for many years at Smith & Nephew, where she made many lasting friendships. Her warmth, kindness and sense of humour touched everyone she met. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her, especially her family. In accordance with her wishes, a private cremation will take place. A celebration of her life will be held at The Hastings Pub on Saturday 16th August from 2pm. Donations in memory of Diane can be made to Dove House Hospice. “Just like a wandering sparrow, One lonely soul. I walked the straight and narrow, To reach my goal. God’s gift sent from above, A real unselfish love, I found in my mother’s eyes.”
