Hull FC forward Yusuf Aydin has been charged by the RFL’s Match Review Panel for an offence during Saturday’s defeat to St Helens. The 24-year-old has received a Grade B head contact charge and has received three points but is free to play against hometown club Wakefield Trinity this Thursday night – the points being the first on the player’s record this year.
Elsewhere, Leeds Rhinos prop Tom Holroyd has been suspended after being charged with a Grade B head contact offence. Holroyd will sit out one match after receiving three penalty points for the incident, which happened during Sunday’s impressive 14-8 victory at league leaders Hull KR.
The Rhinos front-rower was already sitting on 7.5 penalty points, with his latest punishment seeing him over the threshold for another ban – his total now standing at 10.5 points. He will sit out Friday’s game against St Helens.
Elsewhere, Leigh Leopards prop Joe Ofahengaue has copped two charges for late hit on the passer offences – one was Grade A and one Grade B – with the front rower receiving 5.5 penalty points in total. Lachlan Lam has also been charged.
Huddersfield Giants trio Zac Woolford, Leroy Cudjoe, and Taane Milne have all been charged, as has Warrington back rower Lachlan Fitzgibbon.
