The Tigers play two big home games before the international break
Hull City fans heading to the Yorkshire derby against Sheffield United on Saturday morning at the MKM Stadium will not be able to park at the Walton Street car park as normal, the club have warned.
The Tigers host Chris Wilder’s Blades, looking for a first home success over the South Yorkshire side since 2018, in front of the Sky Sports cameras, with the contest kicking off at 12:30pm.
Those fans who usually park on the vast Walton Street site will have to find alternative parking owing to the imminent arrival of Hull Fair, which gets underway on Friday week, October 10 and runs until the following Saturday, October 18.
Those involved with Europe’s largest travelling fair will begin to descend on the site, and therefore, access has been restricted to allow the setting up of the vast event, though Tuesday night’s home meeting with Preston North End is not impacted.
“Walton Street car park will be closed for the Sheffield United match on Saturday, 4 October due to the imminent arrival of Hull Fair,” the club said in a statement.
“Disabled supporters with subscription parking passes at Carnegie Way should be aware that the car park will also be closed for the 12:30pm kick-off.
“Supporters are advised to find alternative means of getting to the stadium, including public transport and the Priory Park & Ride service.
“Those travelling by car are recommended to use car parks in the city centre, around a 20-minute walk from the stadium. Please allow extra time for your journey and arrive in plenty of time.
“Both the Walton Street and Carnegie car parks will be open as usual for City’s next home fixture against Preston North End on Tuesday, 30 September.
“Tickets for both matches are available online, over the phone on 01482 505600 or in person from either the MKM Stadium Ticket Office or Tiger Leisure in St Stephen’s Shopping Centre.”
