A look at the averages for the 2025 Super League season.

Super League attendances have increased by 9.3% this year, with a competition record posted for a 12-team league. In total, an average of 10,044 fans a game watched Super League, a fair jump from last year’s 9,189 figure.

Seven clubs saw increases to their season average attendances, with Wigan Warriors recording a huge 17,088 figure. Leeds accumulated the second highest average at 14,999, while Hull FC came third at 12,159.

Three more clubs – St Helens, Hull KR, and Warrington Wolves – all hit the 10,000 barrier, while Wakefield Trinity, as the newly promoted side, posted a big increase on the numbers seen at relegated London Broncos last season.

In fact, the Wakefield-London jump is the biggest increase in numbers this year, with the West Yorkshire outfit bettering the capital club’s average by a huge 55%. In terms of teams already in the competition, Wigan’s 14.6% increase was the biggest jump, just edging the 14% increase seen at Hull KR this year.

On a more negative note, five clubs – St Helens, Catalans Dragons, Castleford Tigers, Huddersfield Giants, and Salford Red Devils – saw decreases to their average totals.

The biggest decrease was at Castleford, with 14.1% fewer supporters in attendance than in 2024. St Helens also suffered a drop in their average for the second successive year, while Catalans’ numbers also dwindled. Huddersfield’s and Salford’s averages also fell.
