Take a stroll down Trick Or Treat Street at William’s Den!
An East Yorkshire adventure play hotspot is resurrecting a spooktacular way to ‘murder a few hours’ ahead of Halloween. The spine-chilling, family-friendly Trick Or Treat Street event at William’s Den, near North Cave, will take place between October 25 and 30.
This unique Halloween experience offers a blend of interactive theatre and trick-or-treating, inviting families to explore the spooky street to unravel a murder mystery in the fictional village of Denville. Aspiring detectives can enjoy live performances from an array of colourful characters in their distinctive homes with special effects, gather sweets and assemble clues to solve the ‘whodunnit’.
Once the riddle is solved, the adventure continues across Denville with games from William’s Den’s Play Pioneers, entertainment, disco, photo opportunities, street food and a fully-licensed bar. Families are encouraged to don fancy dress, with daily prizes up for grabs for the most ghoulishly impressive outfits.
Now in its third year, Trick Or Treat Street is claimed to be “Yorkshire’s first and only event of its kind”. Put together to be enjoyed by children and adults alike, this year’s experience will introduce an all-new mystery to solve, featuring two new characters, alongside the return of familiar favourites from 2024.
Of course, sweets will be handed out to all participants – including the grown-ups!
Located outdoors in an eerie maize field beside William’s Den, families can choose their own adventure, with daytime sessions available between Saturday, October 25 and Thursday, October 30, with ‘after dark’ experiences on offer from 5.30pm on Monday, October 27 and Tuesday, October 28. Visitors also have the chance to enhance their tickets to gold or platinum packages, featuring special additions such as keepsake photographs and marshmallow roasting.
Tor Carver, co-founder and creator of William’s Den, said: “We’re excited to welcome families back to experience the magic of Trick Or Treat Street. Trick-or-treating meets immersive theatre – it’s fun for all the family and the best way to murder a few hours this October half term.
“So don your best costumes, bring your detective skills and get into the spooky spirit with us this half-term. Tickets are flying, so we recommend booking early to secure the best slot!”
Tickets are available to ‘boo-k’ now, with a limited selection of Early Bird passes on offer at special rates. Prices start at £7.20 for 1-to-3-year olds and £18.20 for over 3s. Organisers say booking online is the best way to “secure the best prices and your chosen time slot”.
William’s Den adventure play will be closed throughout the event.
