A 23-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm
A man has been arrested following reports of a serious assault on Spring Bank in Hull. The incident was reported to police on Thursday, September 11, at approximately 11.50pm.
Emergency services attended and a 33-year old man was taken to hospital for treatment to “life-threatening injuries to his head”. He remains in critical condition at this time, Humberside Police said.
On Saturday afternoon, Detective Inspector Lloyd Sharkett said: “Following multiple lines of enquiry, a 23-year-old man has now been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm.
“A scene guard was put in place on Spring Bank whilst the investigation progressed, this has now been lifted. The local community can expect to see a continued police presence in and around the area over the course of the weekend.
“At this time, we believe the attacker knew the victim, but our enquiries are continuing to establish the full circumstances, we would urge anyone with any information or concerns, to please speak to officers whilst they’re out and about.
