A man has allegedly been left with ‘serious facial injuries’ following a reported assault on Spring Bank, Humberside Police said. The reported incident is said to have taken place in the early hours this morning (Sunday, September 7).

A man has been taken to hospital for ‘life changing injuries’ and a scene guard remains in place to allow CSI to work. The force is now appealing for witnesses and any CCTV that may help them with their enquires.

Detective Inspector Gary Mathews said: “At approximately 12.13am this morning (Sunday, 7 September 2025), we received reports from members of the public and emergency services that a group of three people, believed to be two females and one male had assaulted a man and allegedly taken his phone before fleeing the scene. The man was reported to have been left with serious facial injuries.

“Officers were deployed, and a 29-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to life changing injuries. A scene guard remains in place to allow our Crime Scene Investigation team to work efficiently.

”We understand that incidents of this nature may cause concern within the community, but I would like to reassure residents that we are doing everything possible to identify those believed to be involved, including reviewing CCTV footage and speaking to witnesses.
