Award-winning Hull comedian, actress and writer Amy Gledhill has been announced as the host of this year’s Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards (REYTAs). Organised by Visit Hull and East Yorkshire (VHEY), the REYTAs return for their milestone 15th year, culminating in a glittering awards ceremony at Connexin Live in Hull this November.

Amy – fresh from winning Best Show at the 2024 Edinburgh Comedy Awards for her critically acclaimed performance Make Me Look Fit on the Poster – will bring her signature humour and energy to the event. She is also known for appearances on national TV favourites such as The Jonathan Ross Show, The One Show, Pointless Celebrities, The Stand Up Sketch Show, Alma’s Not Normal, Guessable, Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled and more.

Amy said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be hosting this year’s Remarkable East Yorkshire Tourism Awards. It’s a pleasure and a privilege to celebrate the people and places that make our part of the world so special, and I hope we can share a few laughs along the way.”

The REYTAs, held in association with the VisitEngland Awards for Excellence, celebrate the very best in tourism and hospitality across Hull and East Yorkshire. Eligible winners will automatically be entered into the national awards.

Dumble Farm, which took home Remarkable Experience of the Year in 2024 for its popular cow cuddling attraction, went on to win Gold at the national VisitEngland Awards in June. This year’s REYTAs feature 17 award categories, celebrating everything from best cuppa to the best tourism event of the year, and for 2025 there is a new honour to bestow – the Remarkable Dog Welcome Award.

Chris Blacksell, chair of VHEY, said: “We’re absolutely delighted to have Amy Gledhill hosting this year’s REYTAs. As a hugely talented local performer with national recognition, she embodies the creativity and spirit that makes our region so remarkable.
