Another milestone for Hull KR to celebrate.
Hull KR have recorded another major milestone this season, drawing their largest-ever crowd at Sewell Group Craven Park – and their highest attendance since 1984.
A crowd of 12,169 packed into the stadium on Friday night to witness the bruising encounter between the Super League leaders and St Helens, with the Robins claiming a hard-fought 12-8 victory over Paul Wellens’ outfit.
Winger Joe Burgess crossed on 64 minutes, with reigning Man of Steel Mikey Lewis nailing a 40/20 before providing the assist for his in-form winger.
Back-rower Rhyse Martin meanwhile kicked four crucial penalty goals on the night, having also been sin-binned in the first half for a swinging arm on Morgan Knowles, who failed a head injury assessment.
The scores were level 2-2 at half-time, with Mark Percival slotting Saints’ opening points before the break. Saints’ George Delaney was also sent for 10, for his illegal contact on opposition forward Eribe Doro.
Deon Cross threatened a nervy ending when he grounded a kick with four minutes left on the clock, but the Robins held on for the Super League Round 24 triumph.
The Robins are now six points clear at the top of the table, with Wigan Warriors set to take on Catalans Dragons in Perpignan on Saturday.
Hull KR have enjoyed a season of high attendances in 2025, rewarding the Rovers faithful by ending their long wait for silverware at Wembley in the Challenge Cup Final back in June.
They are also on course to lift a first-ever League Leaders’ Shield, with three regular rounds remaining. The Hull derby is heading to Sewell Group Craven Park next Sunday, September 7. Willie Peters’ side will then travel to play-off hopefuls Wakefield Trinity, before the ultimate round at home to Sam Burgess’ Warrington Wolves.
