A motorcyclist has sadly died in a crash on a rural East Yorkshire road, police have confirmed. The tragic incident happened on the A161 King’s Causeway between Swinefleet and Eastoft, in North Lincolnshire, on Saturday morning.

It is reported that, shortly after 9am, a bronze Mini Cooper and a black Suzuki motorcycle were involved in a collision on the road. A Humberside Police spokesperson added: “Emergency services attended. However, a 35-year-old man, the rider of the motorcycle, was pronounced dead at the scene. His family have been informed and are being supported by specialist trained officers at this extremely difficult time.

“Officers are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision or has any CCTV, dashcam footage or information which may assist our enquiries to contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 129 of 23 August.”
