East Hull is buzzing once again as fans flock to see their favourite band, Coldplay, for a second performance in the city.

On Monday night, the atmosphere in this part of Hull was electric. Around 25,000 fans were wowed by Chris Martin, Jonny Buckland, Guy Berryman, and Will Champion as they performed hit after hit over the space of almost two-and-a-half hours.

Supporting the band on their Music of the Spheres World Tour – tonight will be show 213 in the run of concerts – will be Hull grime artist Chiedu Oraka and Nigerian music star Ayra Starr. People have travelled from near and far to bear witness to the extraordinary Hull gigs.

Fans looking forward to another amazing show will be part of the Guinness World Record that the monster tour holds for levels of attendance, even beating Taylor Swift’s The Eras tour into second place for that. It is not yet, but may well be after it finishes, the highest-grossing tour too.

Hull Live’s Donna Clifford has once again been stationed outside Sewell Group Craven Park, capturing the smiles and excitement ahead of tonight’s show. Hull was the only place to be chosen outside London for this final UK leg of Coldplay’s tour, so for many of the fans queuing this afternoon it will their first taste of the city.

Here is a selection of fan photos from day two of the Coldplay queue – can you spot yourself in any of the pictures?
