City’s new campaign gets underway this weekend
It’s been another busy summer at Hull City with plenty going on around the football club with a change in manager and transfer embargo slapped on them by the EFL. Amongst it all, Sergej Jakirovic has attempted to stabilise things by bringing together a squad that survived by the skin of their teeth last season, and bring in players under the terms of their restrictions.
A host of new players have so far arrived and more are expected before the window closes on September 1, irrespective of what happens with their appeal over a three-window fee restriction. A number of those new faces were involved on Saturday as the Tigers kicked off their campaign with a battling 0-0 draw at Coventry City, and more could feature on Tuesday night when City look for a Carabao Cup first round victory.
Brandon Williams is expected to complete his move after having his medical on Monday, and wore number 30 in pre-season, while David Akintola is also set to be announced following his move and could be given the vacant number 11 though neither will feature at Wrexham on Tuesday night. While City wait on further new arrivals, the current squad numbers have now been confirmed.
