Fountains damaged by vandals have reopened after being repaired.
The water feature in Queen Victoria Square, Hull, was switched off on 20 July after detergent was poured into the water and caused “damage to the internal mechanisms”, the city council said.
The fountains were only restored to use in May after being closed for two years due to issues with water quality.
Humberside Police said officers from its Neighbourhood Policing Team were conducting inquiries into “reports of criminal damage” and appealed for information.
