Hull City are understood to be in talks with Antalyaspor over a deal that would see Abdus Omur leave the MKM Stadium and secure a permanent return to Turkey.
Abdus spent the second half of the season out on loan at Rizespor but struggled to make an impact, with injury once again hampering his progress, playing just six times.
Despite that lack of success on the pitch last term, there remains interest in the 25-year-old. It’s understood that the latest potential suitor is Antalyaspor, managed by former managerial target Emre Belozoglu, while Samsunspor are also understood to be interested as they look to bolster their squad ready for European football.
A move to Antalyaspor is thought to be more likely for Abdus, and if that deal is completed, he could become the third Dogukan Sinik re-signed for the club earlier this month, player in Belozoglu’s ranks at Corendon Park.
Dogukan Sinik re-signed for the club earlier this month, penning a two-year deal after his release by City and the Super Lig outfit have also been linked with a move for Brazilian performer Lincoln.
The Fenerbahce man spent the second half of the campaign on loan at City but is not expected to return to East Yorkshire, and a move to Antalya has been mooted with little chance of a return to Fenerbahce on the horizon.
Abdus, who joined City from Trabzonspor in January 2024, has played 37 times for the Tigers but is yet to score, though he does have three assists.
As it stands, Abdus is not expected to report back for pre-season training at Cottingham when the rest of the squad begins their campaign on Monday, following two days of testing later this week.
