An East Yorkshire village will see the return of Post Office services this summer after its previous branch closed last year.

Thorngumbald Post Office will open at a new location from 1pm on Friday, August 1. It will be based at Londis Vino’s Store, in Church Lane – close to the previous branch. The Post Office closed in October due to the resignation of the postmaster.

The new Post Office’s opening hours will be between 8am and 6pm every day, meaning there will be 70 hours of service each week. The same products and services will still be available.

The Post Office is offering the chance to give feedback on access into and within the premises. Customers can share their views until July 9 at postofficeviews.co.uk with the branch code 352321.

Submissions can also be made via email to comments@postoffice.co.uk, by post to Freepost YOUR COMMENTS, or by telephone 03452 66 01 15 or Textphone 03457 22 33 55.
