Hull City have sent goalkeeper Thimothée Lo-Tutala on loan to Doncaster Rovers for the 2025/26 season, with the back-up keeper set to head to the League One newcomers for the start of pre-season training. The deal sees Lo-Tutala return to the Keepmoat Stadium after joining up with ex-City boss Grant McCann in February of last year, playing a key part as first choice goalkeeper as the club secured a play-off spot.

A year on and McCann’s Doncaster team are back in the third tier as League Two champions and will again turn to Lo-Tutala, who is expected to be pushing for the starting berth once again. The 22-year-old has been a regular feature on the bench for City during his time at the club, but has not managed to force his way into first team reckoning just yet.

Still very young in goalkeeping terms, the Tigers are hoping the former Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United academy player can gain great experience at Doncaster, with a chance to grow in South Yorkshire.

New City boss Sergej Jakirovic will arrive at the club with three further goalkeepers on the books in standout Ivor Pandur, Anthony Racioppi and Harvey Cartwright, leaving the door open for French youth international Lo-Tutala to go out on a season-long loan deal.

While Jakirovic is yet to arrive at the club, squad discussions over incomings and further potential outgoings have already taken place and Lo-Tutala is unlikely to be the last player to head out this summer with Matty Jacob and Joao Pedro the next expected to be leaving.
