The restaurant and bar in Princes Avenue was celebrated for its atmosphere and incredible menu
A popular Hull bar and restaurant has closed. Crafted in Princes Avenue, previously known as KerbEdge when it first opened in 2017, had an American-style menu and focused on quality, homemade food.
It became a regular haunt for many in the Avenues area. Sadly, it closed on Monday, November 24, with a sign put in the window to inform customers.
In a statement posted on social media, the businesses’ owners said: “It’s with a heavy heart to announce Crafted has ceased trading. We want to thank all of our loyal customers over the past few years for your support, you will be greatly missed.”
The message implored people to “support your local businesses”. It added that these are challenging times for independent businesses, and “there is so much behind the scenes they are fighting against every single day”.
Regulars were saddened by the news and said the closure was a huge loss for the Avenues area. One user commented: “That’s really, really sad! I used to love to go to Crafted for my iced coffees and cold lager in the summer.”
A second person said: “I’m really going to miss our Wednesday visits to Crafted. The food was always delicious, the cocktails were fantastic, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming.”
Someone else commented: “Gutted!! Best burgers ever! Thank you for our burgers and dirty fries over the years.”
Another customer said: “Absolutely devastated, our favourite place for celebrations and birthdays each year. You’ll be terribly missed.”
