It was a record sell-out for Hull KR’s World Club Challenge blockbuster with Brisbane Broncos!
A sell-out crowd has already been confirmed for next year’s World Club Challenge between Hull KR and Brisbane Broncos – all 24,600 tickets were snapped up even before going on general sale. Champions from both sides of the globe will face off at the MKM Stadium on Thursday, February 19.
The fixture sold out in record time and will set a new rugby league attendance record at the MKM Stadium, surpassing the previous high of 23,000 fans during the 2007 Hull Derby. Next year’s blockbuster will also secure Hull KR a spot in the top 10 highest-attended World Club Challenge matches.
The record for the highest World Club Challenge attendance remains the iconic 1994 clash between Brisbane Broncos and Wigan Warriors, which drew a staggering 54,220 fans at ANZ Stadium. It also surpasses the 2024 fixture between Wigan Warriors and then-NRL champions Penrith Panthers at DW Stadium, which sold out at 24,091.
February promises to be a huge month on the global stage for Hull KR, as Willie Peters’ side are also set to travel to Las Vegas later in the month to take part in the NRL showcase event at Allegiant Stadium, facing Leeds Rhinos in the capital city of the world.
