The Tigers are on the hunt for a fourth win of the season
Hull City will be roared on by a sell-out away following at Birmingham City on Saturday afternoon when Championship football returns after the latest international break as they go in search of a first away win of the season.
All 2,003 tickets have been snapped up in advance of the first meeting at St Andrew’s between the pair since a 2-1 FA Cup replay defeat in January last year.
City will head to Birmingham looking to achieve something they haven’t done in more than a year: win back-to-back games in the Championship, a run that stands at over 50 outings.
The Tigers’ impressive 1-0 win over Sheffield United before the international break means they’ll arrive in the second city with the chance of claiming successive victories under Sergej Jakirovic for the first time in competitive games. City’s last taste of winning on the spin came when they won three in a week at the back end of September and early October last year.
Jakirovic’s men kick off a frenetic spell between now and the next international, which sees them play six times in the space of three weeks, and they’ll do so at St Andrew’s with their biggest following of the season so far, after long trips to Bristol City and Swansea City, hoping for a first success on the road.
City then have another trip to the Midlands to look forward to before the break, when they travel to Derby County, and tickets for the game at Pride Park on Tuesday, November 4, are some of the lowest in the league.
Adult tickets for the East Midlands visit are priced at just £20 for adults, dropping to £15, £10 and £5 for concessions, while youngsters aged between two and five get in free.
The Tigers have been given an initial allocation of 1,833 tickets, but more are available should those be sold, and the club have warned no tickets will be sold on the day of the game.
Before that trip to face the Rams, Jakirovic’s men face Norwich City in the 12:30 kick-off at Carrow Road on November 1, with fans charged £32 for the privilege of watching that encounter in Norfolk. The Tigers’ allocation there is 974.
