The in-form frontman has been a revelation since arriving at the MKM Stadium
Hull City striker Oli McBurnie has capped a terrific start to his MKM Stadium career by being crowned the Championship’s Player of the Month for September.
The Scotland international bagged an impressive five goals in his five league outings, with his one assist coming for that John Lundstram cracker in the 3-1 win over Southampton, before he netted the third from Ryan Giles’ pinpoint cross.
It comes after he picked up three successive Team of the Week inclusions in games against Southampton, Watford and Preston, the latter of which saw him score twice to haul City back to 2-2 from two down to earn a point. Three became four on Saturday with the 29-year-old talisman kicking off October in style with a Man of the Match award in the 1-0 win over former club Sheffield United.
McBurnie beat off competition from ex-City ace Jaden Philogene, as well as James Bree and Sheffield Wednesday’s Barry Bannan, to win the award.
