The sparkling show starring Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver and comedy legend Paul Chuckle, will enjoy its Christmas residency at Hull New Theatre right through until December 31. One of the most romantic pantos of all time, Beauty and the Beast, also featuring panto grande dame Jack Land Noble and local lad Jack Gleadow, promises a spectacular and enchanting production for all the family.

Panto is a Christmas staple that has been enjoyed by Hull and East Riding audiences down the decades. Whether it is enjoying seeing the big-name stars popping up to play larger-than-life characters or proud parents watching their children acting out their stage dreams in schools’ seasonal shows, it is hard to beat a panto performance for suspending reality for a while and transporting you to a fun land of make-believe.
