
A 26-year-old woman has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving
Humberside Police has appealed for information after a 12-year-old girl was seriously injured in a collision in east Hull. Officers were called reports of a road traffic collision in Holderness Road at around 7.45am this morning (Thursday, November 13).
The road was closed for some time, with drivers being asked to avoid the area, but it has since been reopened. A statement from Humberside Police said: “It is reported a silver Mercedes E220 convertible, and a pedestrian were in collision near to the pedestrian crossing between Bilton roundabout and Diadem roundabout.
“Emergency services attended, and the pedestrian, a 12-year-old girl, has been taken to hospital for treatment to serious injuries which are not thought to be life-threatening at this time. A 26-year-old woman has since been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving and remains in police custody assisting with ongoing enquiries at this time.
“The road has since been reopened, and enquiries remain ongoing to establish the full circumstances around the collision. We would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident, has any dashcam or CCTV from around the time it is believed to have occurred, to please contact us on our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 56 of 13 November.”
