The nights are drawing in more quickly and the temperatures are turning colder, but thoughts will be warmed by the thought of Bonfire Night, which is on the horizon.
Many families love to attend a firework display or a bonfire, or both, at this time of year. November 5, or Guy Fawkes’ Night, with its connections to Holderness in East Yorkshire, falls midweek for 2025, on a Wednesday, but there are events happening before, after and on the night itself to help people plan their attendance.
Whether you plan to take in a professionally choreographed fireworks show, a bonfire with plenty of traditional Bonfire Night treats being served up or another event to bring some sparkle into your autumn, you are certain to find something to entertain you and your family. Below is a round-up of some of the best firework and Bonfire Night activities taking place locally and we will be updating the blog as we get news of any more.
If you know of any more taking place, you can send us the details at features@hulldailymail.co.uk and we will endeavour to give them a mention. Please be aware that some events will be ticketed and need to be paid for in advance; also, please check with each venue before travelling to avoid disappointment.
