It ‘promises to be another unforgettable Christmas in Beverley’

Beverley Festival Of Christmas is returning in December. The popular event will offer an array of food, drink, arts and crafts to get visitors in the festive spirit.

The festival, now in its 29th year, is organised by East Riding of Yorkshire Council and sponsored by The Beverley Arms, part of the hospitality company Thwaites. Every year, on the second Sunday of December, Beverley’s town centre transforms into a magical Christmas shopping paradise, with more than 120 stalls filled with seasonal gifts and local delicacies.

Drawing thousands of visitors to the East Riding, the festival offers plenty of festive fun with the chance to buy Christmas presents while exploring some unique independent businesses in the town. This year’s event will run from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, December 14, occupying Saturday Market, North Bar Within and Wednesday Market, with connections to Flemingate Shopping Centre.

The festival will also kick off with a parade to mark the start of the festivities.

In a new addition for 2025, North Bar’s Georgian Quarter will feature East Yorkshire businesses and traders, showcasing a selection of local producers. The regular Saturday Market on December 13 will also embrace the festive spirit, featuring a Christmas theme.

A free park and ride service will be operating from Beverley Racecourse throughout the weekend too. East Riding Of Yorkshire Council says more information about the planned entertainment, travel details, park and ride services, and road closures will be made available closer to the event.

Rick Bailey, chairman at Thwaites, said: “We’re so proud that The Beverley Arms is once again part of The Beverley Festival of Christmas, it’s such a special celebration that brings the whole town together, showcases the very best of Beverley, and captures the true spirit of the season.

“Our team at The Beverley Arms has been busy creating something really special this year, with a magical line-up of festive experiences, from indulgent festive dining to a magical Narnia-inspired wonderland where all the family can step through the wardrobe for a unique photo opportunity.

“We can’t wait to welcome guests through our doors – whether they’re joining us for a festive meal, a family experience, or simply to enjoy the atmosphere and be part of what promises to be another unforgettable Christmas in Beverley.”
