The Tigers have enjoyed a terrific start to the new season under Sergej Jakirovic

Hull City produced another impressive performance on Tuesday night as they swept aside Leicester City at the MKM Stadium to close in on the Championship’s top six.

The Tigers were 2-1 winners over last season’s relegated Foxes, having produced a stunning first-half display to give them a commanding lead, thanks to goals from Liam Millar and Joe Gelhardt.

Attention before the game focused on the absence of leading marksman Oli McBurnie, while Ryan Giles, who created the second goal for Gelhardt, had to be replaced in the second half.

David Akintola felt an issue in the warm-up, so he wasn’t risked off the bench, while skipper Lewie Coyle was named on the bench even though he was nursing a foot problem he picked up in the win at Birmingham City on Saturday.

City‘s fine win over the Foxes was their third in a row and fourth at home so far this season, and now attention turns to Saturday’s visit of in-form Charlton Athletic, but boss Sergej Jakirovic could be without a host of first-team players.

Here’s a look at all the players either out of Saturday’s game or considered a doubt…
