Pocklington’s Food and Drink Festival will return this October, East Riding of Yorkshire Council has announced. The two day festival aims to promote a celebration of local flavours, fun and community spirit.

Organised by Market Square Group Ltd in co-ordination with East Riding of Yorkshire Council, the event will take place from 9am – 6pm on Saturday, October 4, and 10am – 5pm on Sunday, October 5. It will be located throughout Market Place and expand into Market Street.

The council says that residents and visitors will be able to experience mouth-watering street food, exceptional bars, alfresco dining experiences, craft stalls, and specialty groceries. There will also be live entertainment for the whole family, including music, comedy acts, and children’s activities.

Councillor Nick Coultish, East Riding of Yorkshire Council cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism said: “We’re excited to bring the Food and Drink festival back to Pocklington, working with Market Square Group Ltd. This event is now a fixture in the town and plays a vital role in generating opportunities or Pocklington businesses.”
