Hull KR have confirmed their 21-player squad.
Willie Peters has confirmed his Hull KR 21-player squad for Saturday’s fixture with Wakefield Trinity, with long-term absentee Oliver Gildart named.
The 29-year-old, a three-time England international, has been sidelined since May after undergoing surgery on a meniscus injury sustained during the win over Salford Red Devils at St James’ Park during Super League’s Magic Weekend.
He is joined in the squad by Sauaso Sue, who has been sidelined due to a knee injury suffered in the defeat to Leeds Rhinos three weeks ago. Head coach Peters however remained cautious about whether the powerhouse prop would feature at the DIY Kitchens Stadium.
Having missed the recent derby win due to a slight knock sustained up in the captain’s run, Joe Burgess has been named. However, Peters again insisted the winger still had tests to pass and will not be risked for the penultimate round of the regular season.
A win on Saturday will secure the club’s first League Leaders’ Shield of the Super League era, completing phase two as the Robins eye up a historic treble.
Harvey Horne and Cobie Wainhouse drop out of the squad for Saturday’s trip, with a 5:30pm kick-off.
Daryl Powell’s Wakefield meanwhile are pushing to retain their spot in the play-offs, just a point ahead of Hull FC. The Black and Whites host Warrington Wolves on Saturday.
Hull KR 21-man squad: Tom Davies, Peta Hiku, Oliver Gildart, Joe Burgess, Mikey Lewis, Tyrone May, Sauaso Sue, Jez Litten, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves, Dean Hadley, James Batchelor, Elliot Minchella, Sam Luckley, Jai Whitbread, Jack Broadbent, Kelepi Tanginoa, Jack Brown, Eribe Doro, Bill Leyland, Arthur Mourgue, Noah Booth.
