Entries for the 32nd European Open Beach Championships, being held in East Yorkshire, have now opened.
The three-day fishing competition will take place from Friday 13 to Sunday 15 March 2026 along the coast between Bridlington and Spurn Point.
The event, named after its late founder Paul Roggeman, was first staged in 1994 and attracts anglers from as far away as Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands.
Organisers said they expected to see “high demand” for entries and described the event as a chance to “pick up valuable experiences, tactics, skills and techniques”.
Tickets for the senior and junior singles competitions, pairs and teams events, as well as the “Flattie Bash” warm-up, are available via the official website.
Councillor Nick Coultish, cabinet member for culture, leisure and tourism at East Riding of Yorkshire Council, said: “We are proud to host this prestigious angling competition on our beautiful coastline.
“We look forward to welcoming visitors from across the UK and Europe to our region, providing the local visitor economy with a timely boost during the early part of 2026.”
