Three people were injured in a serious crash on a rural East Yorkshire road. The incident happened at around 8pm on Wednesday evening (August 27) near Rudston.

Police say it is reported that a red Suzuki Swift and a blue Hyundai Tucson collided on the crossroads junction of Nine Dykes Road, Burton Road and Thwing Road on the B1253. The passenger of the Suzuki, an 82-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for treatment to “life-changing injuries”.

One driver, an 85-year-old man, was treated for minor injuries, and the second driver, a 44-year-old woman, was seriously injured.

A Humberside Police spokesperson added: “If anyone witnessed the collision, has any information or dashcam footage that may assist officers with their ongoing enquiries please call our non-emergency number 101 quoting log 481 of 27 August.”
