A person was taken to hospital
Counter-terrorism police are investigating following a report of a person being attacked at HMP Full Sutton. The incident is said to have happened at the high-security men’s prison on Friday, August 8.
A spokesperson for Counter Terrorism Policing North East said: “An investigation is ongoing following an assault which occurred at HMP Full Sutton, in Humberside on Friday 8 August. One victim was taken to hospital to be treated for his injuries and was discharged the same day.
“Counter Terrorism Policing North East are working closely with HMP Full Sutton to thoroughly investigate the full circumstances of the incident. Our priority is to establish the facts, explore any potential motivation and to secure justice for the victim.”
The Hull Daily Mail understands a suspect is already in custody at the prison, where he remains.
