It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Neil Coates, who died suddenly at home on the 6th August 2025, aged 62 years. Dearly loved son to Barbara and the late Geoffrey Coates. Brother to Gary and Sarah, treasured Dad to Kelly, Hannah and Amy, the best Grandad to Archie, twins – Peach & Jude , Joey and Emily. We will miss him more than words can say and all who knew him. Neil’s funeral will be held on Friday 5th September at 11.30am in the large chapel at Chanterlands Avenue Crematorium. Please dress how you would like and come celebrate Neil’s life. Family flowers only please, however donations may be left at the service for the Haematology Unit at Castle Hill Hospital. The family would like to invite and welcome everyone after the service to Harry Pursey, Beverley Road, to share memories and to celebrate Neil’s life.
Passed away peacefully, with his loving family by his side, on 2nd August 2025, after a short illness. Beloved husband of Pat, much loved Dad of Rachel, Father-in-law of Andy and Grandad to Ruby and Alex. Funeral service to be held at Haltemprice Crematorium, Willerby on 26th August at 10.30am. Passed peacefully on Saturday 26th July. Reunited with her Grandson Craig. Beloved Mum, Nana and Great Nana. Forever in our hearts. Passed away peacefully at Woodleigh Manor Care Home, Hessle on 5th August 2025 aged 79 years. Formerly of Barmston House, Barmston. Beloved Husband of the late Nancy. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ian Gavin, who died on his birthday, 8th August 2025, after a brief illness whilst abroad. He was repatriated to the UK, surrounded by the love of his family. Ian was a dearly loved son to Noel and a treasured brother to Becky and Sarah, who will miss him more than words can say. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Ian’s funeral will be held on Tuesday, 26th August at 11:00 a.m. in the small chapel at Chanterlands Avenue Crematorium. Please “come as you are” to celebrate Ian’s life, just as he would have wanted. Family flowers only. Retired Parish Councillor of Newborough and Retired Company Director of Tarmac Barrie aged 75 years of Congleton, peacefully passed away in hospital on Tuesday 12th August 2025. Beloved husband of Lynn, dearly loved step father of Tanya, Mark and Gary, cherished grandad of Toby and Poppy and loving brother of Wendy. Barrie will be greatly missed by all his family and friends. The funeral will take place on Thursday 4th September 2025, with service and committal at Macclesfield Crematorium at 3.30pm.
