A scheme to improve a road between Holmpton and Easington in Holderness is due to begin in September.
East Riding of Yorkshire Council said it was investing £250,000 to upgrade Out Newton Road in Out Newton, including resurfacing bends, patching parts of the road surface, strengthening its edges and replacing damaged kerbing.
The project is due to start on Monday 1 September and is expected to take six weeks to complete.
During the work, parts of Out Newton Road will be closed to through traffic, although access to properties will be maintained.
Councillor Paul West, the council’s cabinet member for environment and transport, said: “Thank you to local residents and drivers for bearing with us while we carry out this essential work to improve this road in Holderness.”
