A boy has been arrested after a 74-year-old man was attacked when he confronted a group of teenagers who had been throwing stones at his house.
The man suffered serious facial injuries in the alleged assault outside his home in Court Road, Snaith, at about 20:45 BST on 14 August, Humberside Police said.
The force said officers were called to reports that a group of six to eight people, believed to be teenagers, had thrown stones at the property and one of them had “seriously assaulted” the man after an argument.
The group then ran off but a 15-year-old boy was later arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. He was released on bail pending further investigation.
