A freight train later struck the objects, bringing it to a standstill
A CCTV appeal has been issued by British Transport Police after metal items placed on railway tracks in Hull caused severe damage. These images show a man who they would like to speak to in connection with their investigation.
At around 5.35am on Saturday, July 19, a man trespassed near Spring Bank West, police said. It is reported metal items, including railway signalling equipment, were placed onto the tracks.
A freight train later struck the objects, causing severe damage and bringing the train to a standstill. Officers believe the man in the images may have information that could assist with their enquiries.
