Humberside Police said that the force has continued their work across Orchard Park this week as part of the Clear, Hold, Build initiative. More than 2,500 homes have now been visited.

The force said that these visits allow the police to engage directly with residents to understand concerns and deliver targeted crime prevention measures. SmartWarter property marking has been rolled out across the estate.

This is a forensic liquid that links items to their rightful owners. It helps police identify stolen goods, as well as acting as a visible deterrent.

Officers have also been working closely with community groups to support initiatives that offer a safe, positive space for young people. At Sir Henry Cooper Park, the team recently helped to deliver a Community Day event.

Children at the event took part in sports and activities. They could also access free bike repairs, and learn practical skills through workshops.

Recently, Shaw Park has undergone a transformation that has seen it become a more welcoming and inclusive space for families and young people alike. Improvements include new lighting, fencing, seating, and colourful ground markings, all designed to encourage positive use of the area and deter anti-social behaviour.
