Drivers are being warned to expect delays
A scheme to improve a road in the Anlaby and Kirk Ella area is due to begin this month. £170,000 is being invested from East Riding of Yorkshire Council towards an essential road maintenance scheme on Woodland Drive.
The project will involve resurfacing the road and installing new drainage channels and kerbs to improve surface water drainage. The council says that work is due to begin on Monday, August 18 and is set to last up to three weeks.
Woodland Drive will be closed to traffic for three days in order to complete this week. It will be closed from Monday, August 18, to Wednesday, August 20, between 8am and 5pm.
Following this, new drainage channels and kerbs will be installed. Manhole covers and and drain covers will also be replaced.
While this happens, the road will remain open to traffic where possible. However the council said that delays can be expected.
