Beverley Pride is set to return for its third year later this month. Promising to be the “biggest and boldest celebration yet”, it will take over the town on Saturday, August 16 – including performances at Flemingate for the first time.

The free, inclusive and family-friendly celebration will bring a full day of music, colour and community to Beverley town centre including community stalls, workshops, food and cake vendors, along with a dedicated family area featuring arts and crafts. A special feature this year is the ‘Joy Board’ – a collaborative creative project designed by the BEAMS group from Beverley High School, inviting young people to express what Pride means to them.

“We are incredibly excited to be bringing Beverley Pride to Flemingate for the first time,” said Daniel Rothery, chairperson of Beverley Pride. “Having the event so visibly placed in the centre of Beverley is a huge step forward in showing that Pride belongs to everyone in our community.

“We’re especially proud that our daytime event remains so family-friendly and welcoming to all, with something for every age and background to enjoy.”

To kick off the celebrations, the Hull NHS Choir will perform a special set at Market Cross at 11am. After their performance, the choir will head to Flemingate, marking the official start of Beverley Pride 2025.

From 12pm to 6pm, Flemingate will be transformed into a vibrant Pride space with live performances from Linkage Choir, Stevie Mould, Hull NHS Choir, Callum Charter, and Roxie Royale, hosted by Queen Margarita. Later on, the official Pride Afterparty – taking place from 6pm at Firepit – will feature Lipsync For Ur Life including Kitty Blanchet, Aphantasia, Eve/Adam Stein, Hex Appeal, Sian De Paul, Rebecca Ivy Briggs, Roxie Royale Burlesque, DJ Jack Leckonby, and a Lady Gaga tribute to close the night.

A spokesperson for the event added: “This event wouldn’t be possible without the incredible support of sponsors including main sponsor KCOM, as well as Sewell on the go, Qream T’s Cakery, Sunset Studios, East Riding College, and Flemingate itself. Beverley Pride 2025 promises a joyful, welcoming, and powerful celebration of identity, inclusion and unity – with plenty of sparkle, music and meaning. Everyone is welcome.”
